The extended life battery works great. I went from having to charge my phone after each use to only having to charge it two times a week. I highly recommend this battery for the LG phone.

If you ever buy a battery for your cell phone, ALWAYS buy an extended life battery. This 1200 mAH is so awesome, it lasts for at least a week, with normal usage, without needing to be charged. DO IT, and you won't be sorry!

If you still have a Chocolate phone and you've never purchased an extented life battery you probably hate how fast it dies, especially if you ever listen to music. I've owned this battery for six plus months and it still gives me a solid three days or more of regular use (no music) and one and a half to two or more when I'm listening to music. The battery does make the phone a little thicker, but not by much (~1/8"), and the battery matches the finish perfectly and looks nice. Definitely worth the money. Many people have complained about this phone, but I still love it and this battery just makes it even better.

My Chocolate (vx8500 - the original Chocolate) was dying after a half hour phone call, using the camera to take about three pictures or after sending/receiving a half dozen text messages. I've had it for about a year and I do understand the battery life does pretty much go to pot after a certain amount of time, so I finally ordered the extended life battery.
I am so glad I did! I'm a pretty heavy cell user and my phone now holds a charge for about a week, if not longer. Way better than having to charge it two or three times a day! Even when the battery that came with my cell was new, it didn't hold a charge this long; it needed charged every 3 - 4 days.
Also, my phone had been having strange little glitch problems - calling the last person on my call list at random, flipping through the menus and messages like I was holding a button down but wasn't and being on the charger but not charging at all. That's all stopped.
Some people complain about the extra bulk the battery puts on their phone, but I actually find it makes hanging onto the rather streamlined Chocolate a lot more comfortable. Besides, it's not a massive difference in mass - it only adds about an eighth of an inch to the back of the phone where the battery sits.
I'm due for the "new every two" (it's more like every 18 months, I've found LOL) in July. I adore my Chocolate and probably won't upgrade to a new phone immediately, but when I do, I'll be slapping an extended battery into it from the very start!
